RepairDesk helps tenants progress unresolved housing repairs. Once your case is accepted, a named caseworker manages the agreed support, contacts your landlord with your written permission and keeps you updated.
Our initial programme supports up to 10 households, free to tenants. We review suitability, conflicts and caseworker capacity before confirming acceptance.
INITIAL PROGRAMME FOR UP TO 10 HOUSEHOLDS
Repair case support, free to tenants
There is no charge to tenants in this initial programme. Each accepted case has a named caseworker, a written scope, agreed updates and clear next steps. Support includes landlord contact, repair tracking, complaint correspondence and follow-up through to resolution or an agreed handover, within that scope.
Places are offered only after suitability, conflict and capacity checks. Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance or a particular outcome.
WHAT WE DO
A caseworker follows your case through
Contact landlords and managing agents with your written permission.
Track repair commitments, chase responses and coordinate access with you.
Organise evidence and manage agreed complaint correspondence.
Support formal complaints and appropriate escalation, including help approaching specialist advice services where needed.
Keep you informed through to resolution or an agreed handover, within your case’s written scope.
WHO IT IS FOR
London private renters
This service is for adults renting privately in London who have already reported a repair and need help progressing it with their landlord or agent.
Every enquiry is checked for suitability, capacity and any conflict with LicenceDesk’s landlord services. Submitting the form does not guarantee that we can accept the matter.
01
Send the essentials
Tell us the repair category, borough and whether it has been reported.
02
Agree our authority
We check suitability, conflicts and capacity, assign a named caseworker when accepting your case, and agree the scope and your written authority before contacting anyone.
03
We follow up and track
Your caseworker chases responses, tracks repair commitments and keeps you updated on agreed actions and any next steps.
Clear service boundaries
RepairDesk provides tenant repair case support. Repairs remain the landlord’s responsibility. We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice, inspect properties, carry out repairs, conduct litigation, negotiate compensation or guarantee an outcome. We contact a landlord, agent, council or referral organisation only after the renter gives specific written authority.
If a case may require legal advice or a compensation claim, we can help the renter approach an independent regulated solicitor, law centre or free advice service. That organisation decides whether it can accept the case and explains eligibility, costs and funding directly. RepairDesk receives no referral fee.
No payment or documents are needed. Please do not send medical records, identity documents or photographs at this stage.
Your information
LicenceDesk London operates RepairDesk London. We use your contact and property details to respond, check conflicts and assess suitability. RepairDesk records are restricted and kept separately from landlord enquiries. We do not share your enquiry with your landlord or a potential referral organisation without discussing it with you first, unless disclosure is legally required.
Unaccepted enquiries are normally deleted 90 days after submission unless a documented reason requires longer retention. Accepted matters receive a written scope and retention information before work begins. Contact hello@licencedesklondon.com to request access, correction or deletion. Read our privacy notice.
