Terms of service

Last updated: 26 August 2026

These terms explain the basis on which LicenceDesk London provides property-licensing administration and compliance-coordination services. Our full correspondence address and final service details will be supplied before a contract is formed or payment is requested.

1. Our role

LicenceDesk provides administrative review, document organisation, application support and coordination. We are not a council, regulator, law firm, surveyor or certification body. We do not provide legal advice or guarantee that a licence is required, accepted or granted.

2. Service scope

The £49 Property Licence Assessment covers an initial review of the address, occupancy and property information supplied, the licensing route that appears to apply, the basis for that assessment, a personalised document checklist and a written action plan. Application Desk and Compliance Concierge services are separately scoped. The written quote or confirmation sent to you forms part of the agreement.

2a. Landlord Compliance Setup 2026

The proposed £149 one-property setup includes a licensing-route review, supplied safety-document and expiry register, Renters’ Rights Act administration checklist, repair-reporting and complaint procedure template, PRS Database readiness checklist and written action plan. It includes one clarification exchange within seven days of delivery. It does not include ongoing reminders, database registration, licence submission or technical certification.

The target is two working days after payment and receipt of all agreed documents. We confirm suitability, the total payable price including any applicable tax, required documents and delivery date in writing before payment. Missing or inconsistent information may require an agreed revised deadline or specialist referral.

3. Excluded costs

Council application fees, contractor charges, drawings, surveys, certificates, specialist reports and legal or other professional advice are not included unless the written quote expressly says otherwise.

4. Information you provide

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the property, its use and occupancy. Our work may be delayed or need revision if important information is missing or incorrect.

5. Payment and starting work

No contract or payment is created by submitting the website enquiry form. We will first confirm the service scope, price, business details and payment method in writing. Work starts after any agreed payment and required information have been received.

6. Consumer cancellation rights

If you are acting as a consumer, you will normally have 14 days from the date of the service contract to cancel. If you expressly ask us to begin during that period and then cancel, you may need to pay for work already completed. If the service is fully performed during the cancellation period after your express request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may end. Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Timings and decisions

Any delivery estimate will be stated in writing. Council and third-party timescales are outside our control. Regulatory decisions remain entirely with the relevant authority.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, we are not responsible for council decisions, third-party work, or loss caused by inaccurate or withheld information. Any other limitation will be set out fairly in the written service agreement.

9. Ending the service

Either party may end ongoing work by written notice. You remain responsible for agreed work already completed and non-refundable third-party costs authorised on your behalf.

10. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections. Please use our complaints procedure if something goes wrong.
